As most of you know by now, University Mall is undergoing a major renovation soon, and we had to find a new home for our studio. Well we found one, and it’s fantastic! The new studio is located at 5007 N. Davis Hwy, #14 in Forest Oaks Plaza in Pensacola. That’s a confusing address, but the place couldn’t be easier to find. We are in the shopping center just south of Brent lane on Davis Highway. (Map) Those of you who have been in town a while will probably think of this as the old “Food World” shopping center. It’s right behind the McDonalds on Brent, you can’t miss it.

The new studio is enormous, with several special purpose rooms, a kitchen, and best of all, a 6000 square foot wooden dance floor. The dance floor is more than twice the size of our current floor so we will really have room to boogie!

In addition to our usual dance lessons, practice parties, and other social dances, we will be able to use the studio for special events, and will be able to stay open later than when we were at the mall. So, think of us if you need to rent a space for a wedding, bar mitzvah, corporate event, you name it.

Our last event in University Mall will be the Tea Dance on Father’s Day, Sunday, the 17th. We will then be closing the University Mall studio on June 18th, and will reopen Sunday, July 1st in the new space with a free grand opening dance including a live band, exhibition dances from our staff and students, and other exciting stuff. Don’t miss it!

Hey folks, when we get to our new Studio in July, we’re starting a new dance on the second, fourth, and fifth Mondays. We are calling it the Monday Moondance and we hope to attract a huge crowd from Mobile, Pensacola, and other nearby areas. Some of you probably already attend the Daphne dance on the first and third Mondays, and if so, you know there is a huge crowd of people who like to dance on Mondays, so we hope they will join us here in Pensacola!

The dance will feature excellent music, our enormous dance floor, and lots of fun people to dance with. We will start at 7:00 with a free lesson, followed by the dance from 7:30 to 10:00. Our new location allows us to offer BYOB, so if you like to sip a little wine while you dance, feel free. We will have ice and such available too.
